There are very few places to stay with dogs. Our room was ok. The bed was fine. The tv worked. Lots of cracks around the air conditioner but it worked. The bathroom was clean but in poor shape. Water ran down the wall about a foot away from the shower nozzle which had pink mold on it. The drain was rusted. Towels were thin. Never did have room service though someone once asked if we needed towels. When he asked about getting more coffee packs, we were told they were out but then were given big packs like you’d put in a industrial coffee maker. Most of the staff were good. Other guests friendly. It wouldn’t take much to fix the place up but that shower wall is likely to fall on someone soon.

This is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel . The entire 3rd floor reeks of cigarette smoke . We could not stay in the first room (330) they put us in because it gave me a headache. The second room (307) was marginally better, but still smelled bad.
There was dog pee in the hall on the first floor linoleum or vinyl floors that was not cleaned up for at least 1.50 hours. The carpets in the halls upstairs are filthy. The shower floor looks dirty - Dark stuff on the beige color. The owner leaves threatening notes on all occupied rooms [if I find out whose smoking cigarettes or marijuana I will call the cops on you]. The parking lot should be swept clean. The place for dogs to relieve themselves has piles of dog doo someone did not clean up. We stayed two of our three nights and have so far been refused a refund for the third night. - BrandonSep 12, 2019Smoky Sketchy Sleep
Subpar stay. The ownership has now changed name to ouster point inns and suites which is more or less a hotel for studio extended stay than an inn or suites that allows pet family members. Reservations made for non smoking but received a room in which the floor reeks of marijuana and cigarettes. Unwashed linens from prior pet attendants, smoke stained walls and decrepit stand in shower are just a few. Albeit, this is a place to sleep - Newport News PD frequents this location.
