Not the best surrounding area with signs about how the hotel was not responsible for theft or damage to cars or contents. We luckily did not have a problem with that. Room was clean and updated for the price.

- CherieJul 2, 2020Felt Unsafe and in Disrepair Throughout
I truly was expecting much for a budget hotel, just a cheap place to lay my head for the night, just passing through on a long cross country road trip... but this was really bad so I feel an obligation to share. It was in total disrepair throughout the property, and in the room (carpets, walls, bathtub, etc) . Uncomfortable temperature from AC unit, batteries missing out of TV remote, ice machine not working, outdoor garbage cans overflowing with garbage, doors from parking didn't lock so there was no need to use key card to access building near my room, which didn't feel safe - anybody could enter at any time. (Felt especially unsafe with all the loiterers in the parking lot that appeared to maybe be homeless (?). Nobody was wearing masks for COVID. Seemed very dirty and unkempt overall. I gave one star because the guy at the front was nice and the shower water was hot - other than that, I hope to never to lay eyes on this place again. In fact I don't think I'll ever risk booking at a Motel 6 ever again after this. I'd rather pay more to feel safe and clean. For just $10 or $20 more at another chain, I would have had a much better experience. This seemed more like a room you'd book for an hour, not for a night.

While superbly located and bargain priced the Motel 6 needs a bit of upkeep. The WiFi is slower than Congress, and even less responsive. The heater is loud, and cannot be adjusted. The television displays a pop-up ever 3 minutes blocking part on the screen. The pop-up is a display function for sales purposes that can be deleted in minutes if anybody took the interest. Despite this I'll probably be back as they accept my cranky self, lovely wife, and aging dog as family.
