  Decent stay

  Location had lot of grassy areas for the little fur balls to relieved themselves. Rooms were decent to enjoy a good night's rest. Loved the fact they were sterilized with bleach for complete cleanliness. Recommend the hotel to renovate their bathrooms (including tubs and shower curtain).

  Great stay!

  Overall a great 2-night stay with our 2 mini schnauzers, the room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was fine (further comment below), and the pet floor was fairly quiet (it felt like they tried to space pet-occupied rooms away from each other the best they could), and breakfast was a pretty good selection and quality! We would likely stay here again, with or without our pups.

  Minor issues: I had read that the hotel had had renovations within the past year. Wonderful, however, it felt like the bathroom wasn't completely done or still needed some work. There was one light above the sink but it just felt so dark in there, really could use another light. The grout around the tub looked a bit dirty and the vent fan did not work. There was only one towel rack above the counter so there wasn't really room for drying big towels, let alone multiple towels. Lastly, when my mother-in-law asked the housekeeper on our floor if we could exchange used towels for new ones, she was unfriendly and stingy about it.

  Great stay!

  Great place to stay with great staff! Got a free upgrade to a bigger room when we got there, which was great for both dog and humans. Room was clean and worked well for our one night stay. They are clearly going through renovations, but none of that affected our stay. Lots of other dogs staying the night, but hotel was easy to navigate with a nervous rescue dog. Simple but adequate breakfast. Lots of grassy areas around hotel to take the dog out. Would definitely stay again!

  Nice stay on a weekend, so a lot of the nearby businesses were closed. Plenty of areas to walk without a lot of traffic.

  There was a nice grassy area out front, but that was the only good thing really. The front desk staff when we got there weren’t very friendly, the bathroom was dirty, there was mold in the fridge. I wouldn’t stay here again.

  Great stay!

  This La Quinta was recently renovated and perfect for one night. No surcharge for our mini Aussie. Our 9 year old human child enjoyed the large indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast was okay. Overall fantastic value with good perks for the price point. Will definitely stay here again if we're traveling with our pup.

  Not a great stay

  Had to get a new room due to broken AC. Second room had and incredibly intense smell of cleaning products. Also, room was on 2nd/3rd floor; not very convenient with the dog. Breakfast was good (eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt).

  Lots of grass!

  Plenty of grass around to relieve the dog. They didn't have a ground floor room for us but they did put us near the exit on the 2nd floor. No carpet. All worked out great.

  Traveling with my dog isn't my first choice, but when my pet sitter flaked and I was scrambling, unable to find a replacement, Grizz came along for the ride. Because he doesn't ride well (gets very anxious), I split the 10 hour drive over 2 days, and booked a room in this hotel. Large room, comfortable, perfect for what we needed. There were poop bags provided near the stairwell exit door, and a decent area to walk the dog around the hotel.

  Very Friendly Staff

  My dog and I were both greeted with a smile and friendly attitude. The room was spacious and very clean. No carpeting in the room, so no stains, smells or other telltale signs that dogs had been there previously. Nice selection of food at breakfast. The only problem was definitely not with the hotel. It’s with people who do not clean up after their dogs. They have many areas around the hotel where the dogs are able to relieve themselves. This is evident by at least 20-30 piles of poop. This should not be the responsibility of the hotel. C’mon people, quit ruining it for the people who are responsible and clean up after their dogs.

  Very dog friendly. Desk person greeted both me and my pet and offered him a small bag of treats at check-in. He remembered my dogs name when we came back to the lobby. Would stay again!

  Excellent Hotel

  I was looking for a pet friendly hotel that took large dogs and no pet fee. This hotel was above my expectations. It was clean. The staff was friendly. They had a really nice continental breakfast. We will definitely be stopping there again.

  Great location

  Loved that it was very acceptable to dogs. Only 5 minutes from a very nice dog park. Only complaint is that there really wasn’t much grassy area for dogs to go potty.

  Check-in was smooth. Staff most helpful. Yet renovations were incomplete in our room. Floor had some loose pieces and walls were not sound proofed. We heard late night (after 11:30 pm) conversations. I’ll be back but will need to see room first.

  Restless night

  I understand that this hotel is being renovated but it seemed like our room was “renovated” and it wasn’t pleasant. The refrigerator and the heating/cooling unit were grinding and so loud. We actually had to turn off the AC overnight because it was so awful on top of being full of dust/dirt and cob webs! The rest of the room was clean but overall very dark. The bathroom is only lit by the back-lit mirror. Would not stay here again.

  Highly recommended

  We travel from Texas to Wisconsin and back every year and have found it difficult to find a good waypoint to stay with our two golden retrievers. We finally found one when we stayed at this La Quinta in Madison, Wisconsin. The location and room was great and were equipped with vinyl tile rather than carpet, the area to walk the dogs was very nice and the staff was friendly with our dogs. I highly recommend this hotel. We'll definitely return.

  The location was pretty convenient. The Wi-Fi was super slow. Breakfast was just okay. It’s a great spot if you’re wanting something quick and convenient! The staff was very nice. The bed was comfy.

  favorite stay

  We have stayed here numerous times and its always great. The hotel is clean, nicely updated, and there is plenty of good walking area for pets in this business park setting that is very quiet after 5pm. The coffee is very good and the dining area is open and spacious. A nearby kwiktrip and Irish Pub are very handy for any needs for food or incidentals. Easy access to highway 35 and the beltline.

  Very good experience

  Lots of open lawn for walking the dog, and as I have a 7 month old, I found I could take her off the leash and really run her after dark/late evening in one of the large empty office building parking lots. Hotel clean and accommodating. Breakfast not much.

  Very pet friendly and clean

  The entire hotel was pet friendly and there were many other pups on site. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 was we stayed a week and we would have to request our room to be refreshed 24 hrs in advance and also due to COVID restrictions the breakfast was pretty minimal at best. The staff was nice and the space was great. We were a couple miles out of downtown Madison but close to many stores and restaurants (close for driving not walking).

  This hotel was tucked between some office buildings and was therefore nice and quiet. We saw a bunch of other dogs and everyone was well behaved. Also very affordable, clean, and quiet.

  Dog Friendly For Sure

  Hotel was definitely dog friendly. There were many dogs around. You can leave your dog in room and there is plenty of grass around and places to walk. Good price. Hotel itself was just OK. Kind of outdated and worn. But good for our overnight stay.

  Perfect stopover when traveling with pups

  Lovely large comfortable room, loads of grass for walks in the industrial park neighborhood, friendly Irish Pub nearby with takeout or dine in options and a modern BP gas station to fuel up across the street from that. The only downside was a very limited breakfast due to COVID restrictions, but that was understandable. We also appreciated the opportunity to purchase a cold beer or glass of wine from the front desk after a long day on the road outrunning thunderstorms and tornado warnings! Staff was welcoming of dogs and many other guests arrived with furry friends in tow.

  Okay when you need to get some sleep

  Not my first rodeo here. I picked my room and that was not what I wanted. The clerk (though nice), said I should be careful picking rooms because the picture is not always the same. Duh...but it shouldn't be challenging to pick a room with a couch. I ended up with the room I needed, however I was terrified to touch anything. The microwave looked like 30 kids had touched it with greasy hands. It made me concerned about everything else....doorknobs, light switches, etc. I'm not a germaphobe, but if I wouldn't have my own microwave look like that...the one person I saw was pleasant, but it was a hassle with two kids and a dog. Last thing, you should really set it up to be able to use and or receive member points for hotels, expedia does it. So should BringFido.

  Great price, great place, awesome and super friendly service and they are 100000% pet friendly! The room was cute and cozy. The hotel has a nice yard in the back for potty breaks.

  Good price and I could bring the dogs. Pretty empty so we got the hot tub / pool to ourselves for a while. They provide poo bags by the exits too! Nice to be able to go somewhere and not spend an arm and a leg boarding my dogs.

  Lovely room, so-so service

  Beautiful rooms but the staff at this location was less than cordial and even less on the ball (had to tell them when to open the pool and when we had questions they acted as though we were an intrusion). The wrapped muffin and juice box for breakfast were ghastly. We were treated much better at the New Berlin LaQuinta where we spent the next two nights. Their breakfast included fresh fruit, yogurt, individually packaged hard boiled eggs, packets of oatmeal, and applesauce cups.

  Perfect Hotel for Dogs; Staff Friendly and Helpful

  Hayley was outstanding helping us get a room on the first floor since we have elderly beagles of 12 and 16, and the room was great. Mike was friendly and great at check-out while at the same time keeping the breakfast buffet clean and stocked with good food!!! best place in madison if you have dogs travelling with you.

  This LaQuinta location on the east side of Madison WI is now on our personal list of preferred pet-friendly hotels. Immaculate and very comfortable room, and very friendly and helpful staff. Doggie waste bags are available at the exit doors, and there is ample room surrounding the hotel for walks and potty breaks for our dog. Highly recommend this LaQuinta.

  Lovely room

  The room was large, spotless, and very well appointed. There was a nice, comfortable couch and easy chair with a coffee table in addition to the usual dresser and desk. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of room in the bathroom for a big litterbox. The only reason it doesn't get five "bones" is breakfast: the food choices were ok, and people who can eat gluten probably were very happy, but styrofoam dishes and plastic utensils? Cheap and environmentally very unfriendly. The whole "green stay" thing about sheets and towels is obviously greenwashing a way for the hotel to economize. If they really cared about environmental issues, there is no way they'd use styrofoam and plastic--but it saves them money.

  Nice, comfortable hotel

  Nice attractive hotel, with lovely pool & hot tub. Staff were helpful with our reservation, which we had mistakenly made for the wrong day. We had to straighten the date out with BringFido, but the desk staff was very patient. Room was extremely spacious with suite-like configuration. We had issues connecting to Wifi but did not bother to try to resolve them. Breakfast was basic, but adequate. Grass for dog walking was available.
