Just walking to the entry of the hotel there was a terrible odor of cigarette smoke. There were tables right next to the entryway where people went to smoke. There was no smoking in the rooms but having tables where people could smoke right next to the entryway spoiled things a bit. Then there was the odor of the room. In all the years I have traveled and been in pet friendly rooms, I have never encountered a room in which the odor of pets was overwhelming. I opened the windows. I got a spray from the front desk and sprayed 4 times. Nothing got rid of the odor. It smelled like dogs had peed in the room for years and like the carpeting needed replacement. All in all, I would have left if I had to spend more than one night there.
