All of our spacious rooms at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Stevens Point come with free high-speed Internet access and many other useful amenities, and there is a private laundry facility for guests. Fortunately, I was able to get a room (including that night) at Country Inn and Suites which does take cats and had a far better experience there than I ever had at La Quinta. Abysmal customer service.

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews of this place. It’s run down. Room smells like mildew. I keep my shoes on when walking on the carpet. WiFi is non existent. Worst room I’ve stayed in in a long time. My dog didn’t care.

Check-in/out was a breeze. The front desk staff were excellent. We’ll versed in animals and very helpful. The room was great. Beds were comfy. We were close to the exit door and away from other guests. The clunking door every time someone went in or out was a little distracting but, not terrible. The room was very clean. I didn’t have to worry about the dog picking up anything. And not a hair to be found. That’s unusual for a hotel pet room, in my experience. The potty area is a bit small and sparse with grass but well raked and clean. It was around the corner & across the parking lot from our exit. A bit of a wet walk since it was rainy. But, it is spring in Wisconsin so nothing out of the ordinary. If the potty area would have been bigger I’d have given it a 5. As is, it’s a solid 4.6 and I definitely stay here again.
