The hotel needs some money put into maintenance/upgrades. Start with the plumbing and the room doors. Getting into our room was hit and miss. Not awesome in general but really not awesome with a dog. Toilet barely flushed. Heard many people complain of clogged toilets and no plunger available. Big grassy area for Fido, decent breakfast, clean rooms. Definitely not worth the price they like to charge for weekends, especially when you spend A LOT of time at the front desk trying to get into your room. (Not a key card issue, a handle or framing issue.)

The staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival. It’s located near the port so not much within walking distance but a short drive gave you options. The breakfast was tasty. There were lots of exercise areas for the dog and they provided poop bags.

The pet fee was only $10 and they provided a lovely little doggie gift bag with a doggie scarf, treats and a poop bag. We were very impressed! The hotel also Included a hot breakfast with a nice variety of food, both hot & cold offerings. The hotel itself was a little “tired” and dated, but nice and clean! I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again myself. We think it was a very good value.

Nothing fancy but comfortable, helpful staff, welcomed our three small dogs with no problems. On-site gift/convenience store came in handy, and pool and full breakfast are added pluses. Would have been nice for staff to have masked up since there is a pandemic going on.

I loved that I could not only bring my dog but bring him into the pool area! My husband and I were on our honeymoon and it was great to be able to use the pool without one of us having to stay in the room because of our dog. Room was nice but the beds were too soft and leaned to one side.

The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel has the amenities we enjoy. We were very happy to find a room that allowed dogs but it didn’t have a lot a green space for walking our dog as it was in a downtown location.

It’s a Best Western, and all that you’d expect with the brand. Decent beds, rooms, etc. It is also very clean, and the staff was pleasant. Best of all, they really made Phinn feel welcome: a swag bag with a bandana, collapsible bowl, biscuits and a map of nearby dog parks; an outdoor area with waste bags provided; and a special door hanger. Definitely dog FRIENDLY (though the pet agreement notes they also accept cats, birds and fish!).
