What A Good Pooch Papa!👏

This photo was taken at Muskrat Park in St. Michaels, MD. In the sweltering heat of a 90 degree day, ground surfaces can reach the mid-high 100’s. A dog’s paw padding is tough, but not enough. Burned paws can be incredibly painful for your pup and can lead to blisters and cracking. Maryland’s humidity also plays a role in how uncomfortable your dog may feel in the heat. If the humidity is too high, dogs are unable to cool themselves and their temperature will skyrocket to dangerous levels very quickly. So it’s important to be mindful of your pup and avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Keep them hydrated too! St. Michaels retail businesses have lot’s of doggie water bowls outside their storefronts and restaurants provide water bowls on their patios. Remember, if it’s too hot for your own comfort, it’s too hot for your dog.❤️🐕
