This photo was taken at Kitty Hawk Beach in Kitty Hawk, NC. We went in April, as dogs are allowed off leash on the Kitty Hawk beaches prior to Memorial Day (as long as they’re under control and don’t disturb others. Guidelines are posted at public beach entrances.) There were a few other dogs both on and off leash, and the beach was not crowded at all, so he was able to chase his ball and play in the surf pretty freely.
