Bring your own water bowl
Mojo's Marina Bar & GrillStopped by for lunch on a Saturday. Seating was outside on the deck, which we expected, however, with the sun beating down we had to request a table with an umbrella, which they were able to accommodate. No water dishes provided (fortunately we had our own), but there was an Igloo cooler for water refills. Huge pirate ship play area for human kids adjacent to patio. Nice view of the small marina. Food was decent (bar food)
Good location & very dog friendly
Kimpton Cardinal Hotel an IHG HotelStayed a second time, and had another great stay. Very welcoming staff, made a fuss over my pup, who loved it. Recommend.
If you're visiting Winston-Salem and want to stay downtown this is a solid choice, whether you have a furry friend with you or not. Visited November 2020, and the staff was very welcoming to both me and my pup. They even took his picture in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby! There are several relief stations in walking distance, as well as a small park with a grassy area a couple of blocks away. Front desk offered a dog bed and bowls without having to ask, and they were delivered promptly to our room. Guest room was indistinguishable from a non-dog friendly room, clean and fresh smelling. I think all dogs are grouped in the same area of the hotel, so even if your dog doesn't bark (mine doesn't), you will hear some others that do. Overall a great stay. Would visit this property again, and will check out other Kimpton Hotels based on my experience here.
Tasty For Humans and Pup-friendly
Tattooed MooseNice selection of adult beverages and sandwiches. We had the burger and the pork reuben— delish, served with some housemade pork rinds. Duckfat fries (w/garlic aoli on the side were a hit with our pup as well. Several porch tables, plus picnic tables on the lawn mean there will likely be a spot for you and your dog (some are shaded). Great for a casual lunch, would visit again.
