This is NOT the first time I’ve had a bad experience with A Very Important Pet regarding dog grooming!!! I specifically request a TRADITIONAL cut for my miniature schnauzer emphasizing NOT to cut his beard and eyebrows and they literally screw it up constantly!!!! This particular time, I requested that his skirt be cut/trimmed down to the same length as his hair on his back and belly……they butchered my dog cutting ALL of his hair down to his skin!!!! LYING saying they got prior authorization from me. I would have NEVER agreed to cutting my dogs hair that short.
When I received the call for pick up, I immediately sent my niece and when she returned home, my sister called me very upset expressing her dislike for my dog’s new haircut. I was livid when I returned home from work and realized the horrible job the groomers did on my dog.
When I called the office to express my concern, the OWNER was UNBELEAVBLE… I have never in my life experienced unprofessionalism to that degree. After a useless 45-minute-long conversation regarding miscommunication I explained to the owner that I had no other choice but to leave a review and the owner asked me to please NOT leave a review because she did not need another bad review. The owner said she would refund my money and to this date, 4-5 weeks later, my refund still hasn’t been processed and now the owner refuse to answer any of my calls.
Also one of the employees should NOT be working in any type of customer service. This person has NO clue how to treat customers. I literally just hung up the phone with her disgusted with how she handled the situation. They do NOT know how to handle conflict and need to understand and be trained on how to communicate effectively if a customer is dissatisfied especially if it is the fault of the company. - AJan. 30, 2020Wouldn’t even bring my dog’s ashes for them to look after
This place is HORRIBLE and DISGUSTING. I wouldn't even bring my dead dog’s ashes for them to look after.
Owner is an absolute asshole and nutcase. She’s narcissistic and only cares about the best way to make money.
They house your dogs in horrible conditions (small and messy cages, will just throw them outside and dogs run away often). During grooming, often dogs will end up bleeding from their nails or from being cut by clippers.
Staff there (especially one man in particular) will verbally abuse and even kick or push your dog. If a dog the staff doesn’t like is being “annoying” (you know barking or playing like dogs do), they will literally just throw them in a dark room (often with cats who are also stressed out).
Never bring your dog here. I honestly feel bad for anyone that does, and I feel so bad for Jaycee’s employees. Hopefully they get out of that toxic and hostile work environment soon.

Took my two doggies there and they were happy as can be and smelled so good. No more clicking nails on the floor lol. So much room and fun to play with other dogs. Definitely going back. Nice people and good atmosphere!

We have been customers for around 10 years now and it saddens me to say that the quality of care has declined substantially. Over the past few years we have had our dogs fed food that is not their own causing bowel issues, we’ve picked them up and for the next few days they are very skittish and recently we had our smallest dogs collar stolen and the remainder of her food thrown away as stated by the front office girl. When I spoke to Jaycee the owner we were blamed for leaving a good collar on our dog as they aren’t responsible for any items left with the dog. Wow!
I’m not sure why the decrease in quality, it feels like the business isn’t really of interest anymore. When we initially started going the staff were caring, our dogs really liked going and it was an all around good experience; lately not so much at all. It saddens me to say we won’t be using this facility any longer, a run of the mill kennel in my opinion isn’t what we want for our dogs. - LynnFeb. 18, 2019Glad I found them! Great location
I was visiting Clearwater Beach the month of January, 2019. I wanted a local daycare for my dog that would provide more activity than walking the beach every morning and where she could play while I was playing! Everybody was so friendly and my dog was tired when I picked her up! I will be returning to Clearwater Beach next January for an extended stay and will be using A Very Important Pet again.

Jaycee is absolutely amazing with animals! She loves them all as if they were her own. My dog had a wonderful time and was pampered! The facility is clean, cared for, and really shows how concerned they are with the safety of the pets. I wish I could give A Very Important Pet 10 bones!!

This was such a nice place to take my dog. It was so clean and I was able to see her playing on the camera when I came to get her. She did not even want to leave her friends she was having such a great time. My friend has been going here for many years and I understand what he was saying about "A great place" I recommend this place highly
