Reviews
Customers generally praise the dog-friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and scenic views at Silver's at the Wharf. However, some note that the staff can be more tolerant than welcoming of dogs, and the outdoor seating may not be suitable for all pets due to stairs or other factors.

- JulieMay 25, 2024Prawn cocktail and doggie menu!
We’ve been coming to this restaurant for several years while camping locally. The food and service are as good as ever and the doggie menu amazing.
- AndyMay 21, 2024Doggie Menu!
Peanut LOVED her "meaty prime rib bone." Kept her busy while the humans enjoyed the wide menu of seafood. Doggie menu also included beef patty and grilled chicken breast - water bowl was the first item to the table.
- StacyAug 12, 2023Fantastic!
the food was awesome and they were incredibly dog friendly. They took our drink order and returned it with a bowl of water for Finn. We got him the meaty bone off the separate dog menu, and he loved it. There was enough meat to keep him occupied for the full meal. I highly recommend this place with your dog!
- MichaelNov 16, 2022Dog menu!?!?!?
got the prime rib bone for my dog. it’s more than just a bone. I had a small bite myself (he had a bite of mine, it’s only fair). it was fantastic.
- ChristinaOct 5, 2021Wouldn’t recommend
made a reservation which was easy. the food was not great and possibly the worst fish tacos ever. More dog tolerant than friendly but ok. the service was just terrible. I never received the beer I ordered and had to have it removed from the bill. There are better options in the same area.
- LarryMay 18, 2021Great location, very good food
A cool, windy evening, several well-behaved dogs on the upstairs deck. The plexiglass panels and location in a cove kept it from being brutally windy, They have heaters, and say they have blankets, but we didn't see those. The service was good, and the food came out quickly . The coastal salad was very fresh and not over-dressed. The beer batter-fried rock cod was very good, and the tempura batter friend halibut was even better.
- CindyMar 25, 2021Best fries Ever!!
I am not much into seafood so we tried other places first. however, most were closed because it was mid week, off-season, and COVID. We gave this a try. I had a chicken wrap that was pretty good, but the fries...they were fantastic. I really think these were some of the best fries I have ever had. Only the outside was open, that was okay because we had the dogs. we only allowed one to eat with us because the other was being loud and rude and had to wait in the car but, back to the fries. There was plenty to share with the pup (my pup who can’t catch anything and doesn’t really try, why should she when she can let it hit her in the face then eat it easily from the floor) caught every single fry I threw at her. so, Leeloo gives it 5 bones and 5 fries for AWESOME!
- AlexandriaOct 13, 2020Amazing Good/amazing Service
Before we were seated the hostess asked if I wanted a low table to be close to my pup which was super sweet. Just after taking my drink order, my waiter asked if he could get my pup a water dish. They even have a dog menu!
- JulieJul 29, 2020Very Dog Friendly
They have all their socially distanced tables set up outside. We had our small dog with us and they were very happy to have him. They gave him a bowl of water. There were several other people with dogs too.
- LoriJan 3, 2020Great Restaurant!
We found this place on this app. We ate with Bohdi on the deck, looking at a fabulous view! We had the Calamari Steak, and Bohdi had the Prime Rib bone. Highly recommend.
- David bOct 1, 2019Good food
Good dog friendly dinner option. Sunset view. Outdoor patio seating for dog families. Good service. Set up water bowl before we sat down.
- SabrinaJul 18, 2018More dog tolerant than dog friendly
The waitresses seemed to be more afraid of my little 20lb cockapoo then friendly. I was not offered a dog menu at all. The outdoor seating is an upstairs patio, which was fine for me in mid July, but I can see how it would get pretty cold out there. Also the stairs would be difficult for senior or disabled dogs. The only pleasant encounter was the kind busboy (man) who came over to refil my water so he could pet my dog and talk with me about his dogs as well. The food I got for myself was exceptional though! Very fresh. Over all, a great restaurant, but not the best for dogs.

We came here with two little senior dogs based on previous reviews. To access the outside deck where dogs are allowed involves climbing stairs - which can be problematic for older dogs. The sign at the top of the stairs says go inside to have hostess seat you - but don’t bring dogs inside? Which probably is fine if there are two people though obviously was an issue for the man showing up after we did. What is he supposed to do with his dog while he goes inside to check in with the hostess? The deck is large enough and not crowded with tables to move among them as seen by the 2 German shepherds who came in with their people. We were not given a bowl of water for our dogs and the hostess was not having a good day when she got snappy with an older woman wanting to move from her table in the shade to one with more sun. The wait staff were fine, however once our order was bought we asked for to-go boxes. I would not have ordered anything from the “dog menu”- not suitable for many dogs. The ambience of the place strikes me not so much as “pet-friendly” but a restaurant which tolerates dogs.
- KelsiJun 26, 2018Nice restaurant
Food was great, view was great, friendly service...can't go wrong. Hostess immediately brought out a water bowl for my dog along with a doggie menu. Very welcoming and friendly towards dogs and people alike.
- KatieMore than a year agoBest Cali Restaurant for Dogs
For me this restaurant was the best one I’ve visited through this state for my dogs. I have two large dogs, the patio is huge, more than enough room for them to lie down comfortably and we weren’t in anyone’s way. It’s covered in tarps and has umbrellas so there is a lot of shade which was also appreciated. The temp is cool near the water so it’s ideal for cool down time after a long walk. The patio is up a flight of stairs - enter this way if your dogs are with you which gives you a fantastic view of the harbour. Dog menu was adorable, there was a big bowl of water already out when we got up there and the servers were extremely friendly. I’d give this place 6 Bones if I could. - Oh and the food was good!
- SusieApr 14, 2018Great place
We've always stopped here when in Fort Bragg because of the food and the view so we when we had our first trip with our pup we were happy to learn that you can bring dogs on their deck, She was thrilled with their doggy menu. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return!
- SandiMore than a year agoGreat Food and Dog Friendly
I went to Silvers because my dog was welcome on the deck. I was surprised when they brought out a dog menu!!! Lady loved the steak bone making a grease spot wherever she went with that bone. I enjoyed watching her have a wonderful time. I brought friends with me the second time and even got Lady "a doggy bag" this time. Again, it was a super experience and will be going there whenever I am in Ft. Bragg. Hopefully, they keep the deck open during the rainy season.
- TeresaMore than a year agoGreat find!
Stopped here for lunch on our way south. Dogs permitted on deck which has a good view of the river and the bridge. We spotted lots of seals. The deck is spacious which is nice, tables are a generous distance from each other. Great fish tacos and water was brought out for the dog. Very pet friendly place, 3-4 other pups were there at same time and had no issues with staff or other diners.
- CheriMore than a year agoGreat food + Doggie menu!
I was so pleased that there was a spacious patio. How awesome it is that my friend and I could eat great food at the Wharf, and our dogs could be with us?! The bonus was that they have a small dog menu. My friend has a fox terrier and I have an large American bull terrier. They have a very meaty rib bone that they both wholeheartedly enjoyed. I am visiting FB again tomorrow and plan on going back to this tasty Resturant 👍😄.
- MadisonMore than a year agobest restaurant in fort Bragg for dogs
Sorry to the bad reviewer but if your dog is barking I don't want him sitting next to me either and I'm a veterinarian. They catered to my dog very well. But my dog is well behaved. If bringing her to such places made her nervous, I wouldn't bring her. They provided us with a dog menu - a terribly unhealthy one but it was a nice gesture. The only reason it doesn't get 4 bones is because: they turned the outside heaters off on us because we sat in the middle, no one brought her a bowl of water, and the waiter was very rushed appearing and panicked. Otherwise, okay good and lovely view
- BobbiMore than a year agoWe were asked to leave because my dog barked
First I will say that the manager was accommodating to my concerns with the fact that I was asked to leave before even being seated. When I walked in, my dog barked at a couple people. He does that when he is nervous and then settles down. I noticed that another customer appeared to be bothered by this. He went inside and talked to the hostess/ waitress. She very nicely stated that if my dog barked I couldn't stay. So I decided to leave and then talked with the manager. The bottom line is that the restaurant choose a non-dog person over me to be served their food. Please keep take in this information when you are looking for a I restaurant in this area. I had a wonderful dinner at Mendocino cafe and people actually came over to pet my dogs. It was not worth the drive to Fort Bragg. Stay in Mendocino and support the dog friendly town and restaurants that cater to dog lovers.
- AlexMore than a year agowonderful place!
The food was delicious and this place is very dog friendly. They have a doggie menu and brought our dogs a fresh bowl of water. And it's located right by the off leash beach
