Stopped in for brunch with my pooch Patience. They have a dog menu but Patience is allergic to chicken. Our server Calvin offered a beef patty and P said yes please! The place was really hopping but once things settled Calvin asked to meet her and got down to her level to say hi and had treats. It was such a great experience for her. Our food and service was fantastic! We will definitely go back on our next trip through Portland.
- AugustJul 30, 2023Great Service & Food
We visited Tin Shed early into the day as it gets pretty busy. My pup loved the Doggie Dessert from the dog-friendly menu. Our food tasted pretty good, too.
Parking can be hard to find, especially as it gets crowded. However, we managed to find a spot.
Make a reservation if you plan on dining at Tin Shed, as a spot isn’t always guaranteed.

The food was amazing, the server’s were so friendly you felt like you knew them. Dogs can order (with assistance) their own food. Willow suggests the sweet potatoes and chicken thigh. This will be a repeat visit for sure
- MiriamAug 26, 2021Loves it so much we went twice
This restaurant has a great human and dog menu. The people who work there clearly like their furry patrons and it is delightful to see a dog at almost every table. You can purchase a bandana for your pup that contributes to a rescue and gets you a discount on their food. Win-win!
- MikaelaMar 3, 2020Best Place To Take Your Dog For Lunch
The food, drinks and the whole atmosphere was awesome here. They even had a menu for dogs, Quinn ordered a chicken dish and he loved it ❣️
- JohnFeb 20, 2020For dogs and their humans
“Dog Friendly” isn’t enough to describe the over-the-top way they accommodate dogs and their humans. We went Sunday of Valentines Day 2020, and YES it was packed, and YES there was a long wait, but such is the case with any WILDLY POPULAR place with great food, drinks, and I can included my four-legged Valentine. I had the “Everything Naughty” biscuits and gravy with chicken apple sausage which was “to die for”. What a wonderful experience.
- ChrisJun 26, 2019Dog friendly
I loved this place as far as dogs go. All the dogs there were friendly and behaved so there were no issues bringing my pup. Everyone was nice and they love dogs. When it comes to actual restaurant service, I felt it was lacking. I didn’t get silverware to eat my biscuits and gravy with and the food was mediocre. I came so my pup could experience it so I gave it a 5 bone review lol. If it had been just me, I’d give it a 3.

Great place to take your dog in the outside patio or covered patio (which also has walls to block the wind), they even have a dog menu. Great food for the humans also.
- MarissaJan 17, 2019One Of The Best Dog Spots In Portland!
We had such an enjoyable time with our pup on a Friday morning. They have self-service water bowls of various sizes for your pup, and a dog friendly menu with a sweet potato/chicken option and a peanut butter/banana ‘ice cream’! The food was delicious and all the pups on the covered patio were well-behaved. We will most definitely be back!
- WendyAug 6, 2018Amazing When Dog Friendly Means Dog Friendly
I've been to lots of places that "claim" to be dog friendly only to find out you can tie you dog up to the outside of a patio fence and that's their idea of dog friendly! (NOT!) Tin Shed, means what they say, and say what they mean! TRULY A Dog Friendly place! They have a doggie menu and bring water to your pup as well as seat you in a very nice covered patio area. Treating you just as good as any other of their patrons. The servers are very friendly, offer great service and the food was wonderful!
This is a place I love to spend my money! Please Tin Shed open a place here in Phoenix, Portland is too far for me to travel on a regular basis :) - ChrisApr 30, 2018Amazing burgers, extremely pet friendly
While the wait was quite long to get in, there is good reason for it.
We went there for around noon on a Sunday, and the street in front of the store was filled with people and their dogs. They are more of a bri ch place so their lunch menu was small, but their burger was one of the best I have had in a very long time.
Ontop of this, they had a dog menu, and our girl. Chloe was extremely happy with their beef and sweet potato option. If that beef was as good as the beef in their burgers then it's no wonder she loved it. - KelseyMore than a year agoWorth the Wait
We arrived at noon on Friday and had to wait about 45 minutes. It was absolutely worth the wait! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly to us and our pup, and although it was a cold, rainy day, we were warm and dry in the enclosed patio.

My wife and I (and our two dogs) loved this restaurant! The staff is really friendly and accommodating with the dogs. They even have a dog menu! We ordered the beef and sweet potatoes for our dogs, which they devoured in seconds. Even got them some dessert. We definitely recommend checking out this place if you are in the area.

We went at 11 am on a Thursday and had to wait 45 minutes. I gave 4 stars because the cafe has an outdoor, gravelled patio with tables, but they weren't serving at those tables. So, if you have a dog, you have to wait for one of the 10 or so tables on the covered patio. Anyway, our food was excellent and our Schnauzer loved her chicken & sweet potatoes dish!
- KatMore than a year agoDelicious food and great for dogs
Love the food and love the fact that we can bring our dog into the patio area. It's an enclosed patio so rain or shine it's a perfect option!
- JessicaMore than a year agodog friendly covered patio
The covered patio was so nice that you thought it was a part of the actual restaurant. I wasn't freezing next to my dog while eating dinner. Plus they have a few items on their dog friendly menu
- JenniferMore than a year agoFantastic!
I am traveling w/ my dog Buddy. I have been using Bring Fido to locate per friendly, restaurants, parks and hotels. This restaurant was a tad bit out of my way and the wait was 30 minutes on a Wednesday for lunch but well worth it. They have self serve coffee, tea and water you can drink while you wait and during your meal. They add it to the bill. They provide water dishes for the dogs but I had brought my own. They have me u items for dogs. Buddy had chicken w/ sweet potatoes and devoured it. I ordered veggie eggs w/ pesto, potato pancakes and the best buttermilk biscuits I have ever had. The service is great! The only negative is that it is located in a neighborhood. Parking was challenging due to busy streets.
- CourtneyMore than a year agoSuper pet friendly
Our dogs had never been out to eat with us before. Very welcoming & friendly environment. Food was good & pups enjoyed their own treat off their pet friendly menu. They also brought them some water right away. Great staff. Eclectic neighborhood.
- MicheleMore than a year agoCool Place & Good Food
Stopped here for dinner with 2 border collie pups. They (and us) were treated like valuable patrons. When our water came they also brought a water bowl for the boys. The doggie meals are around 1 1/2 cups and were a definite hit. The human meals were exceptional and the service the same.
- JoyceMore than a year agoDefinitely Go There!
We were in the area visiting family with our dogs and wanted to include them in as many activities as possible. What a great time we had at the Tin Shed. The staff was so friendly and treated our dogs like royalty. Our dogs are vegan like us so the staff prepared special dishes for them, as well. Highly recommended!!
- AdrienneMore than a year agoHappy Puppy!
We've been here before for people food, but this time we brought our dog to join us for breakfast. Our food was excellent as usual, and our dog loved his chicken and sweet potato. He's even got a Tin Shed bandana now which will save him $$ on future visits. This is a must for dog owners!!
- EdMore than a year agoHappy dog
We went to the Tin Shed for breakfast this morning (a Sunday). The food was very good, but more importantly, there were several dogs enjoying breakfast with their best human pals. The four legged member of our party had the Ham "Barker" Helper and thought it was quite scumptious.
- MichelleMore than a year agoWow!!!
We went to the Tin Shed tonight as we found it on BringFido.. What a great find!!! The food was AMAZING!! Really incredible for the price. Sunday night has Happy Hour from 3:00to close which was great. We tried Phillis Diller, Berry Garcia, Big Beluga and Brie a Naughty Girl. Poopsie, our greyhound has Paws Licking' Good which he loved! Everything was great, from the food to the ambience to the service . Would highly recommend as a great place to share a meal with you sweetheart and your fur child! :)
- SteveMore than a year agoGreat Place with Great Food
fun, friendly and great food. Had a Mcobb salad which was one of the best salads I've ever had. Wife had pasta which was awesome too. Our dog was greated by most of the wait staff and offered water as well. Would definately visit again....

The service is great, the food is even better! There is breakfast only Sat and Sun. It is unusual and very tasty. During busy times the kitchen is a little slow but it is so comfortable, beautiful and you also have your best friends with you so the waiting time is quite enjoyable. Eating outside is just lovely.
