- LisaApr 24, 2022Lovely Staff Welcomed Us & Big Dog
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch stop at this small, local barbecue place. The staff made us feel very welcome with our 95 lb mellow older dog. We checked inside to be certain, but seating on the patio with umbrellas was definitely dog-friendly. It’s at the end of a shopping center, but there is a small grassy patch in the rear for quick pit stop before getting seated. Great mid-trip stop on a long drive headed cross country.

We brought our rescue dog there who is timid. He was nervous and the waitress asked to pet him. I said that wouldn’t be good right now because he’s scared. He mostly stayed under the table. She brought him out a treat and then tried to pet him and he growled and lunges at her but didn’t bite her. He gave off many warning signs that he did not want to be pet at that time, and I even verbally told her. She didn’t respect that which resulted in him being defensive. They then told us to put him in the car. This could have been avoided if she would have been respectful of his personal space. We won’t be back. The food was so-so and the service was good up until that incident.

Over priced for what we got..small portion and the food was over cooked 😞 Had high hopes for this place but it really wasn’t worth the trip.
