The vegan Counter Culture has plenty of pet-friendly outdoor seating. The menu is full of scratch-made vegan comfort food for brunch, lunch and dinner. Stop by early for Tofu Rancheros or the Country Biscuit Bowl, with seitan sausage. The lunchtime Pastrami Melt is meat-free, made with seitan and topped with dairy-free cheese. There is also a selection of salads from the Caesar made with gluten-free croutons and Curry Quinoa Salad. So delicious!!
I had been to this restaurant on a previous trip to Austin, and loved it so much that I went twice. The food is outstanding! I wanted to go back again, but was traveling with my dog this time. I was so happy to see that they welcome dogs on the patio. They brought him a bowl of water, and he had a great time hanging out and getting cuddled by the staff while I ate their wonderful food. I’m always excited to find a dog friendly restaurant, but the best is a dog friendly restaurant that has great food and great service!
