Great food and friendly staff. The patio has multiple shaded tables where dogs are welcome (though not inside the restaurant). Our food was even delivered right to the table. There’s also a grassy area near the parking lot, perfect if your dog needs a quick break.

Just arrived in town and needed boarding services. The Paw Resort & Wellness Centre was there. It is a great facility, well organized and professional staff. Beside boarding, they are also offering other services to include grooming.

Spruce Woods Provincial Park offers a wide range of activities, and my dog and I recently tried one of them. We hiked the Sleeping Wolf Loop, part of the Seton Trails. This 5.8 km trail features two rustic cabins, one near the start and another halfway through. Although the cabins are quite old, they’re well maintained and add character to the route.
The site overall is well-equipped with essential amenities, including outhouses, bear-proof garbage bins, and fire pits with firewood provided.
The only major downside is the trail surface itself... it's primarily mowed grass. While that might sound pleasant, it means a lot of insects are crawling around, including ticks. Despite my dog being on preventive antiparasitic and anti-tick treatments, I still found a few ticks crawling through her fur.
I strongly recommend being cautious and thoroughly inspecting your dog (and yourself) after hiking this trail.

Yellowknife doesn't have a lot of pet friendly store but Canadian Tire is one of them. Dogs must be on a leash during their visit to Canadian Tire. It has a pet supplies, care and accessories section. Cashier we give a treat to your dog and the end of your shopping.
