It’s funny to me to see this campground advertised as dog friendly. We had a permanent site neighbor, whom we’ve never spoken to before, come over to us to let us know that our 5lb dog barks and how annoying it is. We had not been here even 24 hours. He was snarky and condescending enough that I got pissed and went to the office to ask about pet policy specifics. I was told that dogs may not be left unattended, even in a locked camper. I repeated what she said because it sounded so crazy, but she confirmed to me that we are not to leave dogs in the camper alone. What are we to do if we want to go to the pool, Shady Maple, shopping, etc? Hopefully for other peoples sakes, if they choose to leave their dog, they don’t have a rude Karen neighbor like us. A neighbor who leaf blows leaves out of his campsite in the forest, but that’s a story for another day.
