Two years ago, I gave Sonesta 5 bones and an enthusiastic review. This past weekend was a great escape from the heat, but we noticed deferred maintenance. The room could have been cleaner. There were obvious pet stains on the carpet, damaged curtains and furniture, and dirt around air ducts. The pool was closed for maintenance as well. That being said, it’s so great for dogs! Beautiful grassy areas, potty stations with bags and buckets, and a trail beside the hotel crosses a grassy field and connects to a beautifully maintained trail system. There is very little traffic noise. The included breakfast is delicious, and the staff are very kind. We’ll be back, but hoping to see those pet fees go toward maintaining pet rooms.

This place was perfect. The room was clean, comfy and has a refreshed retro vibe. Excellent restaurant right next door and a park right around the corner. We had such a friendly welcome and warm send off. Great experience!

The people were great, but the room wasn’t. The entire floor was sticky - probably cleaner residue. There were dust bunnies under the bed. The plumbing is old so the drain was sluggish in the shower and there was no hot water. Very quiet.

They treat fur babies like part of the family! Chloe was over the moon with her steak tartare. Human food was amazing, too. the cioppino was excellent!
