Lovely wooded hiking trails
Six Mile Creek ParkWe stopped here driving West on the 90 headed toward Indianapolis. It was a quick detour from the highway so super convenient for us to stop and let our dogs stretch their legs. We did not use the Penn State lot reference in the description. Instead we took Depor Rd to Clark and down a little gravel road to a very quiet and large parking lot with clean people bathrooms and trash cans. From there, we walked our three doggos along the wooded hiking trails to a creek where our lab could take a dip. Because it was fairly swept woods, would highly recommend bug spray for humans and tick collars for dogs. So glad we stopped here!

Great for us weary travelers!
Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage ParkThis was an easy on/off the highway to break up our long journey home from NY to NM. We wanted a place to let our dogs get their wiggles out and stretch our own legs, too. This was perfect for humans and animals alike! We didn’t end up in the actual dog park but instead walked around the wooded trails and circled the pond. There’s benches to enjoy lunch, water fountains to fill up our dogs bowls, and a somewhat clean bathroom. We will be adding this to our list of stops for future trips across the country!

A beautiful stop for the pups
Warrenton Dog ParkWe stopped here with our 3 dogs to break up a long trip from Kansas City to Indy and it was the perfect way for our dogs to get their wiggles out. It’s one large, fenced in area so no separate small dog space but it wasn’t an issue for us because we were the only people there. Great mix of sun and a shade. A few little obstacles for the doggos. The bathrooms for people were also well maintained and convenient. May want to bring your own poo bags- the provided bags were gone when we visited. There is a water fountain within the fenced in space so our pups could hydrate after their run. The park is right off of 70 and you pass several gas stations to get there; very efficient stop!
