I brought my small dog to walk the 3 mile loop trail, he had a good time. The boardwalks in the woods were nice, always plenty of parking and the park is never too busy.
Lots of people let their dog wander off leash on the trails and it became an issue with me and my dog. I suggest going at sunrise to avoid the other dog owners.
The trail is split up by roads, some roads are on hills and can be hard to cross. That is the main downside
