Good dog destination
Cape Breton Highlands National ParkLeashed dogs are able to do most trails in the park. The park map indicates which trails allow fido. It was difficult to find pet-friendly patios in the park though.

Truro-Bible Hill Off-Leash Dog ParkA wonderful park! Our pup played happily for 2 hours and we enjoyed chatting with other dog parents. Such a friendly and welcoming park!
Just an fyi- your dog could leave very dirty if they play in the pond. Don't worry, though, there is a *luxurious* dog wash at Pet Valu just minutes away.

Good value for price
Hearthstone Inn Port HawkesburyNothing fancy, basic room in an older motel but met our travel needs. $10 pet fee. Large grassy area to walk the dog.
