An alright stay

We stayed here on a road trip and it was all right. We were put on the first floor by the side door for easy outdoor access for the dog, which was nice. The place was fairly quiet. There were sizeable strips of grass between the building and the parking lot that, as far as we could tell, served as the potty area. It was nicely kept and looked like part of the landscaping. They did not offer moving dollies, so we had to move quite a few things by hand over multiple trips.

Not all the doors closed smoothly (we had to pull on the side door to make sure it closed all the way). The bathroom door was a sliding door that served as the closet door when it wasn't in front of the bathroom (so your dog could get into the closet if you closed the door to the bathroom). There wasn't a lock on it either.

The beds were comfy and the place was clean. For breakfast, they had two waffle irons, eggs, sausage, bacon, baked goods (muffins, bagels, danishe), and a few other things. The sausage didn't seem like a breakfast sausage; it wasn't a patty or links, but sliced rounds. We didn't try the waffles (there was normal batter and chocolate batter), but the rest of the breakfast was all right and not terribly memorable.

Wonderful dog-friendly hotel

We stayed here for a night when passing through on a road trip, and it quickly vied for one of our favorite places to stay. The front desk was friendly, nice, and helpful. We were put in a second floor room right next to the door to the atrium to the garage and stair well/elevator. Getting outside was easier than expected; we had no issues at all despite not being on the ground floor.

There is a lot of grass surrounding the hotel for potty breaks or a sniffy walk. There's mulched landscape right outside of the stair exit for a quick potty, and field of grass across the parking lot/structure. The grass eventually leads to the sidewalk, so it lends itself to a short walk if your dog likes to sniff and explore. (Our gal loved it! She needs to walk a bit to get her bowels going, so having a lot of grass and a sidewalk helped.) There were several pet stations for waste disposal.

There were plenty of parking spots in the parking structure next to the door to our floor. There were dollies after entering from the parking structure, which made it super easy to get everything settled into our room. The room was clean, pleasantly decorated, and looked new. The AC worked fast and wasn't so noisy as to impede our sleep. We didn't hear noise from the other rooms at all.

The free breakfast was higher quality than most of the hotels we've been to and there was good variety. We really liked the potatoes; they were seasoned well and flavorful. The orange juice tasted like orange juice! We arrived late so we missed the free dinner snacks and drinks, but this is the first hotel we've been to that offered that!

The place seems fairly safe. A room card is required to tap into (or out of) the parking structure. It is also required to tap into the hotel hallway to get to the rooms. When leaving, we dropped our room cards into the box at the end of the hallway and had to call the front desk to let us out of the parking structure--oops! The hotel is pretty close to the highway, so it's quick to get to and quick to get back on the road. It's also tucked behind some other places, so there was no highway noise and the street by the sidewalk was not all that busy. All in all, we'd definitely stay again next time we're passing through!

Great Dog-Friendly Hotel!

We've stayed here twice already and the rooms have been wonderful. Both were on the first floor, close to a side door leading straight out to the pet area, which we appreciated. (There are two doors directly leading out to the pet area, which makes it easier to avoid other pets or spread them out.)

The grassy pet area is rather large (unfenced), even if you don't count the connecting empty lot. It wraps around the back/side of the building and includes a waste station and picnic table. It's cleaner and has less waste lying around than other hotels we've been to.

The rooms have been spacious (the King + sofa one more than the one with two Queens), clean, and relatively new-looking. Their complimentary breakfast selection was great, consisting of pancakes (freshly made via one button press), eggs, turkey sausage, biscuits, gravy, bacon or sausage, cinnamon rolls, bagels, and a handful of other options.

The location is also a plus. It's close to the highway, but not close enough to get all the noise. It's across the street from lots of restaurants and stores (that act as a buffer between the hotel and the freeway), which makes it easy to find a meal. We will definitely be staying here again when we're in the area!

It was okay

For our one-nigjt stay, it was okay. There was a strip of grass (a little wider than what you'd find along neighborhood sidewalks) along the side parking lot for dogs to do their business, complete with waste bags and stand. There are hedges fencing that part of the property, which provides some privacy from the nearby busy street. Our room was on the first floor, pretty close to the side door exit, which was very convenient for doggy potty breaks.

The room itself was fine, if not a little tired-looking. The large fridge, dishwasher, mini kitchen with utensils and dishware were all very nice. The bed was squeaky and not as comfortable as other places, but it was clean and serviceable. The place had a hint of cigarette smoke and there were cigarettes littered outside near the pet area. Pet poop could also be found throughout the pet area, old and new. (We didn't add to that, but I had to pay extra close attention so that neither I nor the dog stepped in anything.)

The stay was okay. We ran into another guest and their German Shepherd in the hallway while taking our girl out to potty and the GSD started barking loudly at us and pulling toward us. We had to return to our room and wait for them to clear out before we could get our dog to the pet area. We could have sworn we were told breakfast was until 10am, but they were putting away the last of the breakfast stuff by 9:30am. We will probably try a different place next time we're in the area.
