Our stay at the Inn during late April 2025 was perfect , it was everything was expected after reading so many positive reviews on various online sites. Our Garden Suite room was super clean and comfortable, and it also had a back door with a small deck with a great view of the beach!
The Staff was friendly and efficient, and our doggy was welcomed with two bowls, a feeding mat, a large towel, and a huge doggy biscuit!
You can eat with your dog in the Lounge area of the Inn's restaurant, there are only ~ 5-6 tables, but it is cozy, even has a wet bar and fireplace......they even have menu items especially for doggies!
Although dogs are not allowed directly on some beaches during April, there are still trails along the beach that are close (~40 yards) to the ocean......other places in the area are even closer still.
We hope to return again, hopefully during the Fall.

Excellent hotel, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, large nice modern lobby, large breakfast area with excellent food. There is a grassy area out back for doggy business. We stayed in a suite with a full kitchen and one extra bedroom. The bedroom door was a bit difficult to close, and the pipes in the shower moaned for 20-30sec as the water flow came through. The kitchen had everything - plates, bowls, utensils, coffee maker, ice maker in freezer.
The hotel is within super easy walking distance of the downtown outdoor mall area, lots of great shopping and eateries within a short .2 to .5 mi walk, though to get to this area, you do have to cross a busy intersection, and the pedestrian wait times at the lights were about a 2-4min wait. The hotel is a great base from which to visit all the local historic sights, such as homes of James Madison and Thomas Jefferson. if you go in the summer, prepare yourself for the heat and humidity. Luckily we had such a nice hotel to recover in. We will surely stay here again.
