First beach day!
Frank B. Butler County ParkBrought my Cooper here for his very first beach day (he’s almost 10!) I was surprised at him literally walking right in without a care in the world, no fear of the waves at all! We had his grandpa with us and because grandpa stayed on the boardwalk, Cooper wouldn’t stay and enjoy the water but he did get a moment of fun. All other dogs were also on leash so I was comforted by that. He’s an anxious boy, but deserves some beach time too!

Castillo de San Marcos National MonumentThe grounds are wonderful and spacious with a little bit of shade here and there. You can’t take the dogs inside, but there’s plenty of room on the outside. My reactive dog does well under my control and no one seemed to judge him with his muzzle. He enjoyed watching the boats from the seawall, where he surprised me by jumping up on it. Very pleasant experience that gave my pup a chance to explore

Not just dog friendly, they seemed to be dog enthusiasts!
Fountain of Youth Archaeological ParkTook my Cooper to the Fountain of Youth on a fairly busy Saturday and all the workers were so very pleasant and truly happy to see him, despite his muzzle (for his protection!). Had my 89 yo dad with us and we thoroughly enjoyed the visit! Up to and including the orange dole whip at the end!

So accommodating and friendly!
Joe's Crab ShackMy pup presents as a little intimidating (80# GSD mix) and wears signage to stop people from approaching. The staff at Joes Crab Shack today were very accommodating and allowed us to seat ourselves on the patio at the farthest table. The young lady serving us asked if it was okay to bring my pup a bowl of water and said “it has ice, is that ok?”. and brought it almost as quickly as our drinks arrived. all of the staff was kind and considerate of my pups’ comfort level with close contact. I’ll be back if I’m ever in Savannah again! (even though I’m not much of a seafood eater!)
