Dogs allowed, food - too many options
Lazy Dog Restaurant & BarWe love the look and feel of the restaurant and enjoy the fact you can bring a dog. However, on our first visit, we went for lunch and I recall looking at the menu as being ridiculous. There is such an assortment of food options that it’s overwhelming. Given the exaggeration of the menu, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a simple grilled cheese with soup. It was just okay. To the Owner/Chef: Eliminate three of the ten pages of options on your menu! it will save you time, and money, and you can focus on some great dishes that work instead of trying to accommodate the world. It’s unfortunate because the restaurant has a nice ambiance and design. I will go back and give them a 2nd chance, and update my review accordingly. But the menu, it’s gotta go!!!
Great News, we went back after learning from a friend they have a new menu. We had a wonderful time, the (NEW) menu is amazing. I’m not sure when it was updated but wow, kudos to management. They brought out a bowl of water for our dog, which was a lovely touch. The food, service, ambiance, and reasonably priced menu will keep is coming back. I tipped extra for the amazing service! Highly recommended! I love the new menu and food choices.
Excellent!
Casimir BistroWe went with a large party and sat outside. The food was delicious, nice ambience, and dogs allowed. I will go back to try other dishes.
Great Sushi!
Bluefin Sushimy husband and I love Sushi and are very picky when it comes to freshness and quality. We typically takeout but are happy to learn they are a dog-friendly restaurant. We recommend this restaurant.
Healthy Food, Great Service
PETCO Boca RatonThis is my favorite store for my dog. All the food they stock is healthy, and they are very accommodating. The employees always go above and beyond to help you. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
Best Breakfast & Bakery (dog friendly)
Saquella CaféMy husband and are foodies and so very pleased with this restaurant. we haven’t tried lunch or dinner but wow, everything is delicious, the bakery has some amazing pastries and the customer service is above and beyond. My order was Avocado Toast and it was the best breakfast I’ve enjoyed in a very long time. Its always busy but worth the wait. Also dog friendly is very important to us and so this is our new go-to breakfast/brunch spot. They have a nice size seating area outside. Recommendation is to go during a weekday as the weekend will s crazy busy. You will not be disappointed.
After writing this review, I learned the restaurant was shut down for health violations on Feb. 2023. Cleanliness is a huge factor for me and so I'm very upset to learn this information. Without knowing the details, I would recommend maybe speaking to the restaurant owner for more details. I don't believe everything I read so don't want to believe this is a problem at a very nice establishment. I recommend, do your homework and make your own assessment accordingly. My rating changed based on this new information.
Not Dog Friendly ******
J. Alexander'sTypically one of my favorite spots for a casual dinner. However, after several calls and confirmation from both me and my husband, the GM's assistant came out after we had a confirmed reservation on Valentine's Day and told us we could not eat outside with our small 10lb. dog. They only allow “service” dogs and therefore that came as a complete surprise to us. They should have made an exception especially since it was a restaurant error. it was unacceptable because I would have scheduled dinner elsewhere. They seemed to be focused on who gave us this information instead of trying to accommodate a customer. Unnecessary and unacceptable. I live in a community where referrals are huge and will be sure to pass this information on to others. J Alexander’s should not be listed as a “dog friendly” restaurant, clearly they are not.
Great Service - Dog Friendly
Max's GrilleFood is good, great customer service, and nice outdoor seating area. It's very dog friendly and they even bring out water for the dog. Fun times!
Very Accommodating- Dog Friendly
VillagioI was walking with my dog on Plaza Real and in passing this restaurant noticed the manager/ owner. I approached and asked if it was okay to sit with our dog outside and was happy to hear they allow dogs. So the following weekend, my daughter and her friend came to visit and we all went to Villagio for dinner. They were packed, but I was so pleased with the accommodations, and they provided excellent service. We sat outside with our dog and we enjoyed a lovely evening.
