Great multi activity park!

Chavez park is great for many reasons. The park has a 1 mile walk around the lake. Lots of Ducks to feed, in the spring time you’ll see a lot of ducklings chasing mama around, there are a lot of turtles there too you’ll catch them swimming and sun bathing it’s just so cute! The lake contains SunFish, Channel Cat Fish and Large Mouth Bass and a few others. There is a nice, well kept dog park, one side for large breeds and the other side for small breeds, both are large areas with trees along the fence, benches to sit under trees, a Ramada with tables and water fountains for you and Fido in and outside of park with restrooms next to dog park. The usuals are always there so most people know each other there. I haven’t witnessed any issues with paw parents or fur-babies. There is also a newly built activity center, Phoenix Library, Golf course, Skate Park, and more. The only reason I didn’t give this park 5 bones is because lately in the evening I’ve noticed several people with larger breeds walking off leash. However, I’m the evening there is security there patrolling the park so I have put in some complaints. Hopefully, the issue improves! Hope you give it a try!
