Don’t Stay Here - Only “Dog Tolerant”

This place was nasty, be warned. They make you sign an agreement that you will be charged $200 if they find damages, but we quickly saw our room was in horrible shape. When we arrived the door was wide open and the TV was on blaring. We had to test the door because it wiggled and didn’t seem secure. Mold on baseboards, hole in the blinds people could see right in. Sink didn’t drain, door lock missing battery cover, dead bug smeared in the shower. They have people living here that apparently don’t tolerate dogs. Gave us dirty looks and complained about barking. Our dog is protective and will bark if people stand outside our door. Our neighbor told me he was only standing outside our door out of concern for my dog (really?) because someone’s dog escaped the room before (well, it has a faulty door). There is no need for a person living in a motel to stand outside a visitor’s door! We didn’t feel safe, clean, or secure. I’m glad I had my watch dog with me, but we’ll never stay here again. They are obviously making money, there was no vacancy and people actually live here (?!) but they are not putting any money back into this motel to make it suitable. We brought our own bed sheets and towels, but I still ended up with bed bug bites. We didn’t get any dog treats, only complaints, and at a place like this and such a short 2 night stay- I would’ve paid more for the truly dog friendly hotel that was cleaner, safer, and more updated. Be assured I waited almost a month to make sure we didn’t get charged $200 because I was prepared to fight it. I took time stamped before and after photos to prove we left the room in the same shape we found it in, highly recommend anyone staying here does the same.
