Normally my stays everywhere never warrant a review, they are always decent at worst. This one we will not be considering again. The daily front desk lady (NOT the evening/night agent, she was SO nice and helpful) was so rude to us. The first morning we went to take our pups out, and came back with our card not working for the side doors or our room. The phone was ringing while we were walking up to the desk to ask and the lady just looked at the phone and said “No”. We kind of knew how this was going to go.
Upon letting her know our situation, we were made to feel like such a liability over something we couldn’t control. We had both key cards with us, and tried them both. The rudeness and just thought of us asking for our keys reactivated seemed to ruin her day. However, we got the key and returned back to our room.
After leaving for an hour to tend to our business we had in Katy, we needed some ice. They had turned all the ice machines off, besides the one in the lobby, we checked all four floors. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone was off the hook. I got ice from the lobby, not a huge deal but for none of the floors ice to be working it seemed inconvenient for those who may not be able to get down there as easy.
There’s a huge influx of workers who stay here nightly. I’m all for having a few drinks after work, but when you have a lady who is screaming in the parking lot and mad at her man, calling him everything under the sun, it can make some people uncomfortable. Again, not my biggest issue but I know for some it may not be for them or people with kiddos.
My last straw was when we went to wash some clothes, the washer stole our money. It was just the icing on the cake. So I improvised and washed in the sink. We needed to stay another night in Katy, so ended up booking a different hotel elsewhere. The one plus is that the dogs had plenty of potty areas as long as you have your own bags.
