I have a standard poodle service dog prospect. I love taking her out for activities and am always looking for dog-friendly places to take her while she is still in training.

Affordable Prices, Caring Staff, Small Rooms

PetsHotel Charlotte (Cotswold)

If you are looking for an affordable yet quality option, you found it! While Petsmart locations can vary widely and I was nervous to try this out, our location in Cotswold has been wonderful. They know my dog by name, reinforce the behaviors I am training such as having her sit before going through doors, and I even get a daily report on what she did and her behavior down to how many times she pooped haha. While the playspaces are small, the staff keep them clean and don't overfill the rooms with too many dogs at once. My pup gets excited every time we pull into the parking lot and gives all of her daycare counselors lots of love every time we see them. I wish the play rooms were bigger and there is no outdoor space for the dogs... but for half the price of the other daycares in my area, I have been very happy with the quality of care my pup gets.

Little Chaotic and Overpriced Drinks

Skiptown

I took my dog three times and will not go again. The first trip was fine, I was surprised that my virgin strawberry lemonade cost $8 but the staff paid a lot of attention to my puppy when she was uncomfortable with all the dogs rushing up to her. The second time, my dog got trampled a few times and staff didn't notice. I was focusing on watching my dog like a hawk at that point, and another dog hopped up into my lap and my drink ended up all over me and the dog, and I wasn't given another one. There was a lot of humping going on and the staff seemed annoyed to have to deal with behaviors. The third and final time that I went it was raining. I had to point out several puddles of pee which had been sitting for several minutes. I had to pick my dog up several times because other much bigger dogs were getting on top of her. I had to walk over and get a dog off of mine when he decided to hump her, I mentally counted to 10 in my head hoping a staff member would take care of it but no one did. The final straw for me was when a dog peed on my shoes while I was watching mine and the staff didn't notice, they were all talking in the middle of the inside bar area and had their phones out. I was so concerned watching my dog that another customer had to tell me that a dog was peeing on me. Yes, that was as embarrassing as it sounds. Long story short, I'm not taking my puppy back and would not trust their staff to watch her for daycare.
