Great place for a swim
Warner Lake County ParkLots of signs keeping dogs off the beach but keep walking on the wooded trail and you will find an entrance on the far west end that allows dogs. Great little beach for the pups to swim (you can go in too, but didn’t appeal to me so much….plenty of kids swimming at the people beach though)

Great hike with the pups
Lake Maria State ParkSeveral miles of wide, sandy trails through a diversity of habitats - forest, lakes, prairie. Horseback riding also common on the trails. Great place for on-leash nature hike.

Great hiking, no swimming for dogs
Quarry Park and Nature PreserveNice walking trails through the forest, exploring the old granite quarry. There are a couple of great swimming lakes but dogs aren’t allowed on trails around the swimming lakes or on the small beach (we got kicked out by a very nice ranger). Fun place for cliff jumping if you go without the dogs…
