Wonderful stay
Best Western Route 66 Rail HavenA must stay here place. Dogs loved it. We did too. Lots of Retro old Route 66 charm in the room as well as around the office area. Floors were wood look laminate so there weren’t a lot of smells from other dogs in the room and green space. Loved the Burma-Shave signs, old gas pumps, old cars. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. Was able to order dinner delivered to our room through delivery app. Overall we had a great stay at BW Route 66 Rail Haven
Terrible
Super 8 by Wyndham Anamosa IAStinky carpets and bedspread, dust thick enough to write in, dirty floors, bugs in bathroom. Tough time keeping my dogs from wanting to mark territory over other animal stains. Had to keep them on leash or in their kennel to keep them behaving. Normally they don’t act that way. Breakfast was stale and skimpy. Coffee and juice was watered down. We chose it for location next to motorcycle museum. Museum was great. Super 8 was not.
Adequate
Best Western Inn of McAlesterLocation worked for our trip. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean but a bit run down. Grassy areas needed mowing. Large mushrooms growing on lawn too. There’s a large statue of a bison that our 2 fur babies were a bit frightened of. We were successful in having food delivered to our room about 8pm for a late dinner.
