We were pleasantly surprised by Super 8. The room was large and clean. My only problem was that we were on the second floor and no elevator! Stairs are difficult for me! But our dog loved them and loved the king size bed too! Breakfast was minimal -- just quick takes for the trip -- no protein.

The Village Inn was a very nice stopover spot. Because it is a renovated motel our dog never encountered the desk or any people at all. The room was large, clean and well maintained. It is in a quaint small town. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, so be sure to find dinner elsewhere. Breakfast buffet was good but prices have gone up and was not updated in room.

Very friendly staff and lovely room with bed and couch! Our dog behaved fine. Room was right across from elevator so noise was unsettling to her. Breakfast was not great, needed to wait for coffee. Room clean and neat. Traffic on 77 was horrible.

Fairfield was wonderful to our dog inside from the friendly reception desk and lobby with a dog treat bag to all the people there. But the dog walking area was totally full of previous dog poop which left little walking room! And this hotel has a very high pet fee! Even though the desk gives you plenty of poop bags, rude owners didn’t pick up poop! Disgusting! Trash bin for bags was overflowing as well leaving little room for our dog’s bag. I did inform the desk as to the status of the dog walking area so I certainly hope maintenance can clean it up. I would love to come back on our return drive back north but only if it’s cleaned up outside!

English Inn provided a nice room for us two and our dog. Rooms were clean and breakfast was very good. Charlottesville is a pedestrian dog walking city. Hotel could have provided us with pet friendly eateries though.
