Messed up reservation
Cabins of MackinawThere was ample grassy space to walk Fido in the back of the property. The night we checked in they had lost our reservation. When they found it, they had placed us in a second story walk up and I’m disabled.. They then gave us a replacement room that was less than acceptable. Bed was broken, bathroom was dirty, and the shower was tiny. But it was late and we spent the night in the substandard room. The next morning I spoke with the manager about our situation. They upgraded us for a small fee to a 2-room cabin. It was great! clean, good condition and comfy bed. We only had a tiny fridge and no microwave but it was acceptable, clean and had plenty of towels! If staying here, I’d do my research and stay in a cabin! The cabins are nice but the motel rooms are minimal at best. We gave 3 bones because we were accounting for upgrade and cabin but first night was less than 1 bone. Be cautious!

Filthy room
Super 8 by Wyndham WilliamsburgThe staff was very nice and they had a small strip of grass to walk our pup. Theyhad a microwave and fridge, but we were afraid to use them because of the grimy room! The carpet and bathroom floor were sticky. The room was dusty and the sheets were dirty. To top it all, there was a used washcloth that the last occupant had left on the shower curtain rod. Fido also found 2 toys under the bed that had been previously lost, not his! The room itself was old and in disrepair but they were working on the room above us to try to make improvements! The older, out dated furniture I can live with , and the large crack across the ceiling I can overlook but the filthiness was inexcusable ! There was also stained walls and the mattresses were terrible . Since the room was already paid for in advance and we were on a limited budget, we slept on top of the bed linens until 5am, at which time we just couldn’t take it anymore ! We checked out! We will never be back! It was simply horrible!

Good for fido
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Traverse CityNice cozy clean room! The motel was in front of a walking, biking trail, which our pup loved! They also had doggie treats! Breakfast was a very “on the go” meal with cereal bars and yogurt, pools coffee and cereal! Great larger fridge in the room! Would stay again.

Great all around!
Comfort Inn Ludington Near US-10Our stay here was great. The room was pretty and very clean. There were adequate towels, a hot tub, and even a doggie park that wasn’t even advertised! By far the best all around!

Great for Fido
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham HollandExcellent room! It was clean and roomy! Plenty of grassy areas for Fido to potty. The only drawback was that all pets were on the second floor and our pup didn’t like the elevator. We took him down the steps and that worked out just fine. We would definitely stay again! Courteous and helpful staff!

Lacking
Motel 6 Shepherdsville KY - Louisville SouthRoom had a bad odor and needed some attention from housekeeping! It was poorly cleaned. It had a microwave and fridge. It did have plenty of grassy spots for potty breaks. I wasn’t disappointed to leave.

Good enough
Days Inn by Wyndham PlymouthThe room was clean except coffee maker and fridge needed attention. No breakfast. Plenty of grass around property for Fido’s potty breaks. Curb had step up and door had a step up, difficult for my mobility scooter. Won’t be back.
