One of very few dog friendly museums and everyone here loves dogs
Combat Air MuseumI was pleasantly surprised that they allowed dogs when I went to this museum. They even had a water bowl for dogs. As for the museum itself, it is huge and filled with a wide variety of aircraft. It's located next to the Kansas National Guard and they were flying Black Hawk helicopters the day I visited. The Museum Of Kansas National Guard is also nearby too. While dogs are not allowed in that museum they do have several dozen military vehicles parked outside, where you can bring your dog.
Excellent food
Ol' RailRoad CafeThe food here was surprisingly good. It also had a nice presentation too. There aren't too many outdoor tables, but everyone else was sitting inside when I was there.
Dog friendly, but the food wasn't quite as good as it could have been
Shrimp N StuffThe covered outdoor dining area is a nice place to have a meal. It is dog friendly and they do a good job with the side dishes. Unfortunately the main courses weren't as tasty as I was hoping. They also have pigeons that fly through the area and even occasionally even try to snag food from the table. My dog may have caught a pigeon on more than one occasion if I didn't have a firm grip of the leash.
Excellent brisket
Salt LickI love their brisket and their bison ribs are quite good too. There is ample dog friendly outdoor seating and the staff are very friendly. This is one of the most dog friendly restaurants I have been to.
One of few dog friendly steakhouses
King Ranch Texas KitchenNice atmosphere and friendly staff. Based on the meals we had here I would only recommend that you get the steak. My ribeye was juicy, tender, and tasty. The other meats weren't quite as good.
Good food
Rockfish Seafood GrillThe food was good. Not spectacular, but it was good. The covered dining area is also nice too.
