Great dog-friendly restaurant

The Cliff

Not only was the view and food amazing, but the fact that our dog was able to easily join us made it even better. Staff quickly got him a water bowl and we enjoyed picking out something from their Puppy Menu for him. They brought his food out at the same time as our's, so he got to eat at the same time as us.

Dog-friendly patio

Big Dog's Brewing Co.

We had a good experience at Big Dog's. We were seated at the last outdoor patio table and our dog was able to comfortably lay down underneath the table. Also, because we went on my husband's birthday, we got a percentage off our entire bill and a huge brownie dessert for free. There were plenty of other dogs there as well, so nervous or scared dogs might not like the environment as much.

Great restaurant

Smokey & the Brisket

We've brought our dog here a few times and the covered patio space is great. Staff has always brought a water bowl and been kind. The last time we were there, our waitress told us they do have a couple options for dogs (I think patties), which we will be getting next time. Plus, the food is absolutely delicious.

Must-visit dog-friendly spot

The Dog Society

Can't recommend The Dog Society enough. There are food and drink options, as well as games like pool and mini golf. Dogs have food and drink options, and a nice outdoor beer garden to play in. The Dog Society also hosts a bunch of meetups and sports viewing events.

The whole park is great

Barkin' Basin Dog Park at Wayne Bunker Park

We were looking for a nice park to walk around before hitting the road. The dog park was spacious, but the whole of Wayne Bunker Family Park was great. Shade and walking paths were perfect.

Unique attraction, but crowded

Seven Magic Mountains

Very cool roadside attraction that made for fun photos. Short walk from the parking lot to the rock structures, which was nice. There were a lot of people there taking pictures when we went in the afternoon on a weekend, so this may not be best for dogs who get nervous in crowds or easily distracted.

Fun experience

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

Lots of great overlooks and areas to pull off the 13 mile scenic drive. We ended up hiking the Willow Springs trail, which was manageable for our 3-year-old goldendoodle. It was his first hiking experience and he enjoyed all of the new smells. It was pretty hot, so we brought plenty of water and tried to start hiking earlier in the morning to try and avoid as much heat as we could. We did accidentally lock our keys in our car at one of the parking lots and while we waited for AAA, the ranger that was there was really kind and gave our dog extra water from his truck.
