While traveling, we were looking for a nice place to walk our dog, and we found it! Lovely gardens and trails for only five dollars per person to help support this place.

We decided to make a stop even though there was a negative review. We picked up some lunch at a drive thru and stopped here to eat and for a stretch. There were three covered picnic pavilions. The nearby restrooms were locked. You could walk to the visitor center that is connected to the museum where there is a single restroom if you are traveling with someone who can wait outside with your dog. Dogs are not allowed in the buildings, but I asked if I could bring my dog to the outdoor museum area. At first glance it looks like you have to go through the visitor center to get to this area, but you can walk your dog behind the museum to get to the area. Dogs just can’t go into the homestead buildings as you walk around the preserved area.

We enjoyed everything we ordered. Water bowl upon request. Lots of covered patio seating. Adjacent apartment complex had a long sidewalk for a nice walk for Paisley.

Visited on a Sunday for lunch. The place fills up quickly, but for a table right away. Next time we will try to get here right when they open. The server brought Paisley a bucket of water right away. We felt very welcomed with our dog. We got the peel and eat shrimp. Loved it. We also got jerk chicken and shrimp; spicy but good. my salad was huge and tasty. Hubby loved the peanut butter pie.

The building has been demolished.

While eating at another location in Ellijay, someone recommended this place. It did not disappoint!

We really enjoyed our food, but it took quite awhile to arrive. I would go back if I had plenty of time, and it wasn’t a warmer day.

This was our pup’s first restaurant visit. Their outdoor patio is covered and has about eight tables. They had water bowls for the dogs. When we ate there, everyone on the patio had a dog :). Good food and good service.
