I stay at hotels through the Bring Fido app, often with my service dog. The Claret is so crowded and hectic; it is definitely NOT dog-friendly! I have never had such a horrific experience! They put us in a room one floor under their extremely loud and obnoxious rooftop bar called Halo, even after I requested a quiet corner room. After having to deal with moving rooms, we decided to have dinner at the restaurant Saverina. I was greeted at the host desk by a server that refused to seat us in the restaurant due to the fact that I had my service dog with me. I gently reminded her that she is not allowed to refuse us service (he is extremely well behaved and wears all of the apparel for a trained service dog). I was shocked that she was questioning his validity. After continuing to argue with me, she finally huffed off and said that she would have to go ask her manager. They finally got me a table, but we sat there waiting for service for a ridiculous amount of time. Something to do with the bartender waiting on us.

Kimpton has always impressed me with their hospitality and extremely dog friendly hotels. Sadly, they have completely missed the mark with the Claret Hotel!

The front desk staff and the restaurant staff have been very kind and accommodating to myself and my service dog Bodhi. We will definitely be back!

The room was dingy and very outdated and the bathroom was filthy, there were long black hairs on the floor and fecal matter in the toilet that was marked as sanitized. We slept on our own blankets on top of the bed because we were so disgusted. The refrigerator and freezer were tiny compared to other places we have stayed. The security door to the back entrance didn’t lock if you gave it a good tug, we only knew that because the security lock didn’t work. We have paid less for much cleaner places. After pet fees we paid almost $150, not worth the price at all!!!!
