Unforgettable views!
Grand Canyon National ParkHad the best time walking the rim with our pup and watching the most breathtaking sunset at Yavapai point. Wish we were able to spend some more time here. As everyone else mentioned, you’re limited to the rim trail and dogs are required to be on leash at all times. They are not allowed in gift shops or on shuttles, but that really didn’t affect our trip. We were able to enjoy the sights and the trail without issue. It can get very hot in the summer so remember to always keep water on hand to keep them hydrated! We were so grateful we got to experience this our pup. Can’t wait to go back.
Hoover dam!
The Dog Who Owned a DamVery sad story but heart warming to see his life celebrated. Note: only service dogs are able to park in the enclosed parking lot by the gift shop.
BEST photo attraction!
Seven Magic MountainsVery fun installation to take a ton of really great photos! Can get crowded so avoid peak hours. It’s the desert so be careful of extreme temperatures and be prepared for your pup to get dusty! The gravel can also get caught between the toe beans so make sure to check and clean off the paws after your adventure. Favorite pictures from our whole trip!
Outdoors!
Bass Pro ShopsHuge store with a ton of outdoor gear, but the pet section could have been better. We were able to pick up a light up collar and emergency pet first aid kit. Associates were super nice and helpful offering our pup a ton of treats. Note: there’s a TON of taxidermy all throughout the store that could get your dog riled up.
Dino dog
Cabazon DinosaursVERY hot in the summer time. Has some shady areas, but not much to keep you cool. Technically doesn’t allow dogs in the gift shop, but they were fine having her there in her backpack carrier. A fun pit stop to other destinations.
