Perfect for overnight stay
Hilton Wilmington ChristianaGreat place to stop when heading through the I-95 corridor. The hotel was clean and the rooms spacious. Area outside the hotel to walk the pup. Definitely a great value for those driving through town and need a great place to stay!
Great resort
The Lodge at Spruce Peak a Destination by Hyatt ResidenceThe resort is beautiful and a great place to stay with a dog. The grounds have a trail that circles the resort and was great for walks. The room was spacious and we had a studio so we could of eaten in the room if the weather had been bad. The nightly dog fee is pricey, so this is not an inexpensive choice. Gave 4 bones because it is a lot to charge per night. We were asked several times about the size of our pup so they could bring a dog bed, but we never received it. No big deal for our pup, but it was their justification and then we didn’t get it.
Great outdoor patio and very dog friendly!
von Trapp Brewery & BierhallWe called ahead to make sure full menu was served on patio and found that it was, made a reservation ahead. When we got there, the patio is large and the host was friendly and ensured we had the perfect dog friendly table in the shade. I love that the tables are not too close together!
The waiter brought a dog bowl with water when he first approached the table. Big points because our pup needs water as soon as we get to a restaurant.
We enjoyed the scenery and food. Definitely recommend!
Fun day on the water
Lake Lure Adventure CompanyWe rented the small pontoon boat for a half-day and enjoyed the scenery and swimming in Lake Lure. Adventure Company was very friendly and the service was wonderful. We brought a picnic lunch with us and the boat had seating and a table that worked perfectly. We also brought our own doggie life jacket with a handle which was very helpful for getting our pup back in the boat. The lake does not have a lot of shoreline to let the pup take a potty break. Overall, it was a great day and we enjoyed working with Adventure Company. Definitely recommend.
Fun Tour!
All the President's Pups TourEnjoyed the behind the scenes tour and history of George Washington’s pups. Very dog friendly grounds. Pups can not go into the estate but lines were super long so we skipped the inside tour. Definitely recommend!
