Ehh better options
The McCormick ScottsdaleNot great for the price in my opinion. The hotel is definitely dated, but charges as if they are not. The area seems great and the staff were super friendly, but the room was not clean. The bathroom was outdated and the tub was chipped in multiple places. The sheets had hair on them when we arrived. The extra resort fee seems silly, especially for overnight guests who don’t get to utilize the amenities. The food was decent, but again you’re paying resort fees for average offerings. They were pet friendly, for a fee, but not many areas to walk her especially at night (not well lit). I wish we would have saved half of our costs and just stayed at a roadside hotel rather than this for our stay.
Close to airport
Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles LAX South/El SegundoDecent hotel, super close to airport. Pet friendly, you’ll see others walking their dogs in the lobby. We were able to utilize the airport shuttle for free with our dog without any issue. Staff was helpful. They had a free reception each evening with popcorn, chips and salsa, veggies and dip and adult beverages. They also had free breakfast with made to order omelets, and your typical continental breakfast foods. They had an indoor pool and gym, also. There are limited places to eat within walking distance, but I felt safe walking my dog around the area alone (as a single female). Was it pricy? Yes, but it’s also LA and had decent amenities. I would stay here again.
Super Clean
Hampton Inn & Suites DalhartSuper clean, newer hotel. Staff was friendly and offered pup treats at check-in and checkout. There was a snow storm during our stay, so the tv wasn’t working but that’s out of anyone’s control. The bathroom was the cleanest I’ve experienced in a long time! Especially for a roadside hotel. The area seemed safe, we parked our car with U-Haul trailer with no problem. Breakfast was typical, but the waffles were delicious and enjoyed by my kids. Would stay here again!
