Fave place to bring my pup for lunch
GlasshalfullWe sat on the peaceful back patio with our pup. The hostess spoiled her with a doggy bowl of ice water and the server brought her a duck liver pate dog biscuit.
Great market but not much for dog to do
The Peach StandThe market has lots of local foods, fresh produce, and ice cream. There are some benches outside but I couldn’t bring my dog inside and there wasn’t really much for my dog to do here.
Perfect place for a dog walk
Glencairn GardenThere are many winding paths, little bridges, resting spots, and all kinds of things for my pup to sniff. We spent our afternoon here and had a great time. I also got some frame-worthy photos of my pup with the beautiful flowers and plants all around us.
New, modern rooms
Hampton Inn & Suites ClarksvilleThere are two nice sized grassy areas with poop stations for your dog. It was so nice to have a spot to walk the dog away from traffic and distractions to do her business. Our room was clean and seemed either new or recently remodeled. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of options and waffle machines. The workout room has a Peleton bike, elliptical, weights and medicine balls. My only complaint is that other Hampton Inns like the one in Pleasant View, TN (30 min away) spoiled us and had doggy welcome bags, dog/cat treats and a water bowl at the front desk but this location didn’t have any of that. Front desk staff seemed annoyed by our presence or busy on their phones. They didn’t even bother to give us our keys at check-in until we asked to get into our room. On the other hand, the breakfast staff was super friendly and worked hard to refill food stations. I was even offered help to carry my food to my table!
Top notch!
Drury Inn & Suites Iowa City CoralvilleOversized, new, clean rooms with comfy beds. Breakfast options were really impressive—so many options and they had waffle makers. They have a grassy area to take my pup along with poop stations. There is a fabulous 11-acre dog park nearby with a diving pond, separate fenced areas for reactive dogs and areas for small, and large dogs. Also, a sand area for dogs to dig.
Meh!
Wingate by Wyndham PeoriaOur room was dirty with food crumbs and white crusty stuff on the carpet. Holes and tears in the carpet and stains on the chair and lampshades. I asked for a new room and we were moved to a cleaner room. Breakfast options were limited. I’m used to my dog being spoiled at the Hampton Inn where they greet us with a welcome treat bag but there was nothing like that at this hotel. There was a grassy area I could take my dog to do her business.
