Service Animals Only On Covered Porch

The Hangout

Unfortunately, we got to the restaurant and were informed that the covered porch is for service animals only. Luckily, we were in our camper and were still able to be seated with June in the camper.
If you want to bring your pooch, you can order food to-go at the bar and take it out to the picnic tables.

Dog Beach was great!

Honeymoon Island State Park

Honeymoon Island State Park was a great location for a day at the beach with June! The path closest to the pavilion is definitely the easiest and most direct. The other path was flooded with nasty water and was a long walk.
Once we got to the beach, we had a wonderful time! I would pack a lunch or some snacks as dogs are not allowed at the cafe or in any other area of the park.

Great day for June!

Fort Morgan State Historic Site

June loved climbing all over the fort, going up and down the stairs, and relaxing on the beach! We had a great FULL day and took a picnic lunch to enjoy. I can imagine that the stairs and brick paths would be too hot for paws in the summer.
There is plenty to see here if you enjoy history. The beach was quiet. I wouldn’t swim there but it was great for June to explore!
Only downside was that dogs are not allowed on the pier right before the entry gate.
