Not quite set up outside
The LiveryThere is a tented area of the patio. The poles were up but the cover wasn’t on it when we went yesterday (5/12/18). It had been cold and rainy so we were hoping for some dry shelter while we enjoyed a drink and snack with our dog but I don’t think they are all set up for warmer temps yet. Still, those that came outside were very nice to us and our pup.
Garden patio
Uncommon Coffee Roasters Cafe & BakeryWe enjoyed our beverages to go on the garden patio behind the coffee shop with our pup. Nice tables and garden beds on a patio of pea gravel.
Great food, cocktails and back patio
Journeyman DistilleryThe food and drinks are fantastic and the building is beautiful! We didn’t know if we could cut through the distillery with our dog so walked a long way around to the back of the building to access the patio and bar/restaurant. The patio is behind the distillery not behind the Staymaker restaurant section of this building (we got our food and drinks from the Staymaker). They do a lot of weddings and private events upstairs but I guess people can also rent the distillery. If the distillery is rented out for an event then I think the patio would be closed to patrons. They are adding an interesting putting green beyond the patio.
Our dog had a blast!
Grand Mere State ParkWe loved this hike! Our dog had so much fun running up and down the dunes and splashing in the water. The dune to climb to get to the beach is moderate but not bad.
Wonderful hike!
Saugatuck Dunes State ParkOur dog had a blast on the trail, dunes and beach. She was tuckered out for hours afterward. The hike was easy through the woods and moderate up the dune to get to the beach. We had it all to ourselves on a cold, rainy Saturday in May. Just beautiful! There is a $9 daily fee for non residents.
Nicely appointed but small
Quincy Dog ParkThis is a nice dog park with paved paths, benches and pet waste stations but not very big. It feels like you’re at a contained park instead of out in nature. Our dog got to play with other dogs in a safe space so I can’t complain.
Great food and location
Wicks ParkWe had lunch at their covered sidewalk tables. The waiter was very nice and even brought our dog a bowl of water. The food was great! The service was excellent. It was rainy all weekend so it was nice to have a covered table to enjoy lunch when traveling with our dog.
Excellent!
Eastland Suites Hotel & Conference CenterWe stayed in a king suite, which was like an apartment (kitchen, sitting area with fireplace). There was a sliding glass door to our own patio outside and an exterior front door for ease of taking your dog out to potty. Plenty of grassy areas right outside either door. There is a 10 acre off leash dog park less than a mile away. The $25 pet fee was less than a lot of other hotels in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by this place! It was very quiet. I think it was recently renovated. Without a doubt, stay here!
