Paid for what we got

We didn't want to stop driving, but our eyes were closing on their own. This place was so much cheaper than if we got a dog-friendly room in Bakersfield (in the same condition). So for a great price my husband and I had a hot shower, crashed too hard to care about the unclean room that needed lots of cosmetic repairs, and slept through the sounds of Interstate 5.
