We arrived early for our morning rental but Mark was very friendly and accommodating. He let us use 2 of his coolers. Micheala got us all set with instructions and a map. We spent the morning exploring, swimming in coves and we even found a little waterfall. There are beautiful Mountain views and gorgeous homes lining the entire lake. We had our picnic lunch on the boat and just a very relaxing time. Four hours was just enough time. Our dog Lucy was a great first mate!

We stopped in our our way to Lake Lure. My husband and daughter ordered flights. They had a great selection arranged by their own brews, locals and ciders. We ordered some sodas for the teens and some nachos to share. The interior is very small but cute, with tabletop games to play. The outside decks were several levels all the way down to the river. It was not too crowded and several people were there with their dogs. Some were even enjoying their drinks right on the rocks. Definitely worth a visit!
