Living in Danville, KY - the birthplace of the state - with my wife and our 12-year-old chihuahua-Jack Russell mix.

The farmer's market in Danville is great. You can shop farm and artisan vendors, listen to live music on the stage, get a bite to eat, and most certainly visit with a lot of dogs.

Great chance to visit Danville and bring your dog to meet some new friends (you and your dog!)

This pizza pub is in the heart of downtown Danville and has sidewalk seating you can enjoy with your dog (or other people's dogs) during the warm months. Lots of people seating inside as well!

Las Margaritas is just a few steps off Main Street and has sidewalk seating that's perfect for hanging out on a nice day with family and friends (and dogs!)

Bricks and Brews is located right downtown and their sidewalk seating is a good place to take your dog (or visit other people's dogs!). Eclectic menu, ranging from bar food to Indian food to Tex Mex.

The battlefield is actually a beautiful and very expansive property, with plenty of great trails to hike with your dog.

Morley's Backyard is a great place to visit with your four legged friends. They are welcome on the grounds, which includes a nice, large grassy area on the side and around back. Hang out with friends or make new friends (dogs are a great ice breaker). Cold craft beers and hot bar-style food. What could be better?

If you are in Danville, don't pass up the opportunity to visit The Still for lunch, dinner or just drinks. And make sure to order a Classic Caipirinha made with cachaca (Brazilian sugarcane rum) that is distilled in a copper still you can see from their dining area.

This Hampton Inn is one of the most highly ranked locations in the Hampton chain. Very clean throughout, with a helpful, friendly staff. Can't go wrong staying here.

Boogie is a great place for some very tasty bar food, a cold beer or a specialty bourbon drink.

Copper and Oak has fantastic food for humans and their outdoor, sidewalk seating allows you to bring your dog along. They even have a water and treat bowl outside for your dog to discover.
