This unexpected trail high above the ocean along the Palos Verdes coastline has stunning views and lots of foliage (at least after this latest rainy season). But it seems only lightly traveled and therefore was quite overgrown after a short walk. Again, maybe because of the extensive rain this season (2023/2024). I was alone with my dog so chose not to go very far because of fear of rattlesnakes and being quite alone. If someone else had been with me or I had seen others on the trail, I definitely would have continued. The trailhead starts in the parking area of the Palos Verdes City Hall and is very well signed, which made the overgrowth surprising. Nevertheless, I’ll definitely go back - with someone - and explore the whole trail.
