Troi’s mom

Stopped in for lunch in the middle of a 500 mile road trip. A few miles off of I75, but worth it. Friendly staff, clean shaded patio and grassy area for the dog. Lots of variety on the menu for pescatarians and meat eaters.

While staying at the Moxy hotel in downtown Chattanooga, we found Maple Street within walking distance. Enjoyed a delicious and unique breakfast outside on the patio. Yaya and another gentleman were very kind to us and got us settled in. Bonnie came out to check on everyone - especially the pups - and when she learned we were first-timers, she brought us some cinnamon biscuits to go! It’s obvious that all of the food is homemade - soooo good! The gravy even has a little zing! We loved every bite and every moment we spent there.

Gorgeous old home on the corner of the town square. I called ahead to confirm porch seating. We were welcomed enthusiastically by the hostess and our waitress. I asked for a glass of water for my dog and they brought out a bowl instead - how thoughtful!! Had a lovely dog-focused conversation with a woman who we surmise is the owner/manager/head cook when she brought out our fried green tomatoes. I tempted fate and ordered foods that I enjoy cooking at home (chicken and dumplings, green beans, fried okra). All were utterly delicious! Of course I shared a little with my pup and she agrees wholeheartedly!

So happy to have found Fox City! Skyler took such good care of us. We sat on the covered porch. Shrimp PoBoy and smash burger were hot and delicious. And the onion rings with sriracha mayo were top notch. Troi got allll the attention. Such a delightful discovery.
