Unfortunately, my husband and I did not enjoy our stay. We paid an outrageous amount of money for a very small and clearly very old and somewhat outdated cottage. From the moment we arrived the hostess was rude to me about our dog. My husband said he felt like she was rude to me specifically but she was nice to him, but he watched her be rude to me, which I found to be very odd. The gentleman we spoke to was very nice but that did not make it worth it.

We also paid so much money to not receive breakfast. She informed me the night before (long after I made the non refundable reservation) that we wouldn’t receive breakfast although my reservation through BringFido said we would. She claimed it was because we had a stove in our cabin but my reservation specifically included breakfast or I would have picked somewhere else to stay. It was our wedding night, I had no desire to get up early and try to cook breakfast on my wedding day and the day after. That was so frustrating for me.

The gardens were pretty and the view was great but that was it. While they did make some efforts for our dog, I couldn’t get over how rude she was at check-in. It was not worth the money we paid for it and it put a damper on my wedding to not have the accommodations we were expecting. My husband’s family is from Ithaca and we will definitely be staying somewhere else on our future visits. Also keep in mind if you’re military they don’t offer discounts or anything!
