The area is very dog friendly. This includes the Sunday morning farmer's market.

My dog loved walking around and taking in all the smells. It was crowded when I went so I had to use a bit of caution as not everyone wants an unknown dog near them. Sat at a restaurant which had two outdoor seats and a table specifically for people with dogs. My dog seemed a bit overstimulated with the people and music. Also, lots of people and children wanting to pet her and not everyone asked permission.... I'd recommend going at a time that's less busy. I feel that was my mistake.
