Our GSD Gracie had a blast multiple days at multiple beaches. East Beach was a favorite. Just wonderful hard packed sand and huge area to let out some energy. Plenty of poop bags available and people and dogs were all great and friendly. We would off leash her and then leash when passing leashed dogs which seemed to be common practice/courtesy. March timeframe great as beaches were not totally packed especially before noon. You can walk for miles and miles. Lots of jellyfish washed onshore you just have to keep an eye out for them.

Nice park like atmosphere to walk and enjoy and learn about the history here. Some cool relics and the Fort and other ruins of course. Nice that it is preserved and maintained as a National monument.

Excellent food and service! Although a bit pricey for my budget (12 shrimp and 12 oysters = $50 before tax and tip) was really glad we tried it. Very busy place and I felt a little squished on the patio with my GSD.

We came here twice and both times had great food and great experience. Great smoked BBQ brisket ribs pulled pork smoked chicken fried okra baked beans honestly I don’t think you could go wrong ordering any of their BbQ. Our Dog and family members 2 dogs were treated so well and the patio is decent sized. We all have big dogs. GSD, Golden and Lab and they were welcomed like family. ‘Painkiller’ drink cocktails were tasty!

Large Back deck and very dog friendly. We were there for late lunch like 2:30 pm to avoid crowds. Got the seafood platter dinner which had fried Grouper, Oysters,Scallops and blackened shrimp. Came with Hush Puppies and fried potato spuds. Husband and I split it and it was really awesome. Our dog Gracie got brought a bowl of water and we ordered her a plain chicken breast cut up to keep her a little busy. The only down side is there were some gnats and no see ums due to the close proximity to the water. We came in March and thinking just the temp at 70 degrees was why they were so prevalent mid day. We went back with family the following week but the no see ums were so bad as soon as we sat down that we ended up going somewhere else. Would definitely recommend going the food service and prices were good but be aware of the possibility of gnats and no see ums.
